Carew Boulding
joined the department of Political Science at the
University of Colorado as an assistant professor in 2007.
She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the
University of California, San Diego and her B.A. from the
University of Washington. Her current research examines the
role of non-governmental organizations in local politics in
developing democracies, focusing on quantitative evidence
from the municipal level in Bolivia. She is also interested
in the politics of foreign aid.
