I have found a link to a sample presentation handout.  It is one I did in graduate school and far from “gospel”, but it can give you some sense of what sorts of information I hope you can provide to your classmates.

On February 20, the CU Model United Nations Club and its co-sponsors will host Mr. Thomas Twetten, former chief of the Central Intelligence Agency Clandestine Operations Department.  Mr Twetten will address concerns over the future of American intelligence and how it can be used in the fight against global terrorism.  The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. After his speech, a brief question and answer session will follow along with a short reception.  This event will be open to both the public and the media.

I have posted an amended syllabus. Key changes:

  • I have included due dates for the topical papers in the course schedule;
  • In part II.B. of the class (regionalism), I have eliminated the second EU date, moved its reading to the first, moved the other topics up one day, and made space for a workshop to be held at the University of Denver on 3/9, which I am hoping you might be able (optionally) to attend.  More info TBD.

Further changes to the syllabus, notably filling in the readings still TBD, will eventually be forthcoming.

I have posted presentation guidelines and schedule and topical paper guidelines.  Note that your first topical paper is due on Friday, 2/16.
